Happy February!

This semester is getting busier and busier! Today was my last calm day for probably a while, so I went to the Fitness Center to work out for a little bit (since I haven’t in God knows how long). Now I’m free until 2:00 pm, then I work at the C.O.P.E. Office until 4:00 pm. After that I’ll work at the Tutoring Center until 7:00 pm.
This weekend I had my first Griffin After Dark (late-night, weekend, alcohol-free programs organized by CSPA grad students). It was called “Snow Much Fun” and students were able to make s’mores, enjoy some other snacks and hot chocolate, and were able to craft their own snowmen. Two gift cards were awarded to the best snowmen. It was a lot of fun and about 30 students attended.
I also have a new assistantship that involves working in the Graduate Education Office helping with research and some other projects. I start tomorrow and I’m pretty excited about it.
Classes are going well. We just turned in our first Methods assignment yesterday. Next week we have an Alma Mater assignment due for History of Higher Ed where we have to research some information about the history of our undergraduate institutions. And of course, lots of READING for each class as usual.
This Friday, there is going to be a Networking Happy Hour at Croc Bar for the CSPA students of Canisius, Buff State, and UB. This will give us a chance to meet other students in the field and make some connections!
This semester is flying by already!
