Next week is a short week, and the only thing on my calendar outside of classes and work is the game of Capture the Flag improv is hosting on the lawn of Lyons Hall at 11:00pm on the 11th (There will be glow sticks. You should go.) and it’s going to stay that way. Towards the end of last week, I started slipping into bad habits. My sleep schedule…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

In our 7 1/2 hours there, we saw 4 shows, some between the two Buffalo teams, some between the Buffalo team and a team from Milwaukee. The teams were hilarious, and as we watched them perform (a marvelous verb, ‘perform’—it can mean anything from ‘pretend to be a penguin and sing a song’ to ‘pantomiming genetic engineering’; in this case, it encompassed the entire spectrum) something occurred to me: the entire room (sometimes half a dozen people, sometimes over forty) was having fun. That’s right. I am no longer the number one blogger here at CanWeBlog (yes we can!). I have been dethroned, my title and crown stripped from me. Other blogs have surpassed me in the struggle for readership, and I simply cannot have that. Notably, Joel is outstripping my best efforts to distract you from your actual job long enough to read about my life, and I simply cannot have that…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I served as a student teacher, assisting kids with problems, and (surprise!) taught an impromptu lesson on the perpendicular bisector of a line at the end of the day. I really enjoyed working with her, because she’s a fantastic…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

The next semester, I went back to Tapestry, with a new-found respect from the students and faculty, as a Practicum observer. My role was more hands-on, in actual classes, and I worked with the teachers for a more active role in their classroom. Teachers were supportive and helpful…

Since coming to Canisius, I have formed an organization. I am the student technical director with my R.A. for Little Theatre for their main stage production this semester, and it looks like I have pretty good job security at that. I have started (and am nearing completion on) a campaign against…

Similar to your parents dumping a bucket of water on you in the morning, this is a much drier way of making sure everyone gets up. Unfortunately, if I end up going to bed at 3 a.m. on one night (it was a hard night of homework… Read more…
