We interviewed participants, and I actually got to be in the video as well! I’m pretty excited to edit that tonight, so look forward to that one. Here is our website: http://www.thegriffincanisius.com/ The video hasn’t gone up on it yet, but that’s because we’re still figuring things out… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I’ve always lucked out every year at Canisius as far as roommates go. They are always excellent chefs who love to feed me, which is great because I am awful at making any kind of meal…except for pasta, I can do pasta. However, this year, I did not get so lucky. Granted, my roommate Courtney is fantastic. She is adorable, funny, smart, clean, and she puts up with me really well. Unfortunately, just like myself, the girl can’t cook… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Before we were given boxes and told to run free about the quad to find a space for our future homes, we heard a speech from a man who represented Food Bank. We also participated in a Hunger Banquet- everyone took a slip of paper that gave them an identity. If you were upper class, you got to sit at a fancy decorated table and be served food until you were full. If you were middle class, you got to sit in a line of chairs, but had to serve yourself and there was really only enough for one serving per customer. If you were lower class, you had to sit on the floor… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

It’s about 1.8 miles, but it’s pretty hilly, and it’s only around a two and half minute run from main campus. SO ideal. I spent much of my summer here. I gotta laugh because a year ago, I would pass out at the THOUGHT of going all the way around the circle without stopping. Now it’s a breeze! Well, okay maybe not a breeze, but it’s totally… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I was a little hesitant about giving up the last week and a half of my summer to do it, but looking back, I’m SO glad I did. I had a blast! I met so many awesome new students and gained some great friendships with some of the other leaders. If you are currently a student- apply to be a leader. It’s a great way to gain leadership skills, meet new people, and have a great time. If you are still considering whether or not to go to Canisius- let me tell you this, our Orientation is THE best… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Since the club I just started is called “Students for Life”, I figured it was a appropriate that we be a part of the Relay for Life! As you know, I have been INSANELY busy this semester, but lucky for me, one of the girls in our club took the reigns for this project and organized our group participation. Every club or organization, or even just group of students… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Doesn’t it look great? And the best part is that it’s only about a 5-10min drive from Canisius. There is more to this area than the lake too. They have a beautiful rose garden with a big Roman-looking stage type thing- lots of people take their wedding pictures there. Two steps from the garden is a HUGE stage where they put on FREE Shakespearean plays… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I’ve been so lucky at Channel 2 because I’ve gone out on a whole bunch of really cool stories. One of my favorites so far- I got to go with Pete Gallivan to interview JASON POMINVILLE of the Buffalo Sabres and Patrick Kaleta too. Yes, that was wonderful. I also went out with… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

This is the second time I have worked when the lines are painted on and I have to say it’s one of my favorite events to work during the whole year. It was warm and sunny…well okay I should rephrase that…it was about 35 degrees outside, which is kinda warm… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I’ve been slacking. I realized that pretty much every time I write another blog, I start off by explaining how busy I am. SO I figured- why not walk you through a day in my life? Here was my Tuesday [keep in mind this is a typical day for me]. I’m up at 8am. I told Peter yesterday that I would meeting with him at Tim Hortons at 8:30 because he has some ideas to discuss with me… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…
