Two of my friends also performed for Ignation Scholarship Day. While employing a theme of love, Megan and Alicia sung one solo each and then a duet together. Both the Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the Communications Department at Canisius are sponsoring this event to pursue the goal of educating men about how to prevent testicular cancer. I have to give this team a lot of credit for informing people about this issue. Testicular cancer is one of the most preventable cancers that can be checked by simply taking the few minutes to examine for lumps. There were also other instrumental solos and a duet from various composers, one of them being Mozart. I sang “If Ever I Would Leave You” from the musical Camelot.

Reading mine reminded me of all the great experiences that I had during CMI week and the flood of emotions involved with beginning college.
