Seeing as I frequented Buffalo as a youngster, the city has always held a special place in my mind and heart. What’s different and special about Buffalo, in my mind at least, is that it is the town where I really grew up. We each are raised in certain locales, but each of us matures and develops into an adult in a particular town, and Buffalo is where I really came into myself, as I’m sure is the case for many Canisius grads. We did it!!!!
Today we, the Canisius College Class of 2008, were conferred degrees of Bachelors of Arts & Bachelors of Sciences and also accepted into the forever-firm and illustrious Canisius community of alumni. Our ceremony was held at Alumni Arena on the grounds of SUNY Buffalo, however the arena’s environment reminded me of nothing but Canisius Blue & Gold. Read more …

It is very encouraging to be recognized for doing what you love and what you are passionate about. It is nice to have other people, other than your mother, who appreciate what you do and realize the importance of all your efforts. I am talking about the Annual Leadership Banquet that CPLD sponsors. I was given the International Student of the Year Award for 2008 for organizing the food and program committees during International Fest. What an exciting time! Thank you so much Ms. Esther, Faith, and Ms. Sharon!

Other than the seniors, there are also the international students who also leave Canisius to go back to their home countries. After spending a semester or two in our fine institution by making it more diverse, they all pack their bags by the end of exams week and bid goodbye to Buffalo. Every semester there are a number of international students who grace our campus with their presence.Read more …
