There are haunted hayrides, trick or treating trails and many other activities to do. From what I am aware of, students get into Darien Lake for under twenty dollars with school ID. This is a fun thing to do with a group of friends on the weekend to get away from campus for a bit…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

It’s about 1.8 miles, but it’s pretty hilly, and it’s only around a two and half minute run from main campus. SO ideal. I spent much of my summer here. I gotta laugh because a year ago, I would pass out at the THOUGHT of going all the way around the circle without stopping. Now it’s a breeze! Well, okay maybe not a breeze, but it’s totally… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

At that time we didn’t have our tests back yet so naturally I started panicking, for although I felt very confident after taking the test I still had it in the back of my head that maybe I screwed up somewhere. Fast forward to this Tuesday, we get out first test back and overall I got a 90! I think it was the happiest I’d ever been to receive a 90 on something, though I could have had higher…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I spend quite a bit of time here on my laptop typing up lab reports and answering quesitions on masteringchemistry.com (The website through which we have to do our Chemitry homework which is due about every other day). On top of these already demanding classes I have Calculus and Honors English. Since I took AP Calculus BC last year Calculus is an easy A though I didn’t take Chemistry so that looks to be my most difficult class…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I have been attempting to utilize the Italian language more. Sadly, I have found I tend to crack under pressure so I haven’t accomplished too much, but you know what they say, practice makes perfect! And while I may not be perfetto when I return, I do desire to have learned enough to carry on a decent, informative conversation…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I’m not going to mull over my grade but I know I have to manage my time a whole lot better as well picking better study habits. You can’t go into class with information you crammed into your head 5 minutes before. Studying the night before does not help either, you have to keep working at it up until the day of your exam. You have to study daily and actually do work, maybe go above and beyond…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

We needed paint, and lots of it, along with brushes of all different sizes. And I will admit I am an amateur when it comes to art because I took one art class in high school and a photography class. A friend and I went to a place called Hyatts, literally ten minutes from Canisius, and got our kit of paints and paint brushes. We have been color mixing ever since…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I got out of sleeping on a bunk bed, lucky me, and we all love living together. It really does seem crazy that there is one extra person but we manage with the room we have. As a matter of fact we have a lot of room for our things, especially clothes, and we have been really good about sharing the bathroom. My roommates are seriously like my family, so sharing…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

While I was home for summer break, I decided to write software for my phone. For fun. Because that’s how messed up I am; things like that amuse me. So I wrote it, and went ahead and released it, for free, for anyone else who might be amused by it. Of course, because I made absolutely no attempt to market it or advertise it, it spread like wildfire. One thing led to another, and Lifehacker (think the New York Times of tech blogs) decided it would be a good idea…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I feel with the weather change everybody is starting to have a lot more down time. If there is one thing I can recommend, it would be to go to the tutoring center. The tutoring center is located in Old Main, room 317. They have student tutors to help you with your homework or anything you need help on…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…
