There are always ways to make the best out of worst situations. Throughout the semester I met a lot of great people. It’s all about being outgoing and not afraid to make new friends. Once you have people you can hang out and study with, you just forget about all of the things that make you homesick or upset. Throughout my first semester…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Starting off the holidays right, Christmas in the Quad was held in Palisano Pavilion. I went with a few friends to check it out and we ended up having a lot of fun. When it first started, everyone gathered around outside the Pavilion for the annual Christmas Tree lighting. Fr.Bucki said a prayer and then we counted down to the tree being lit. It was pretty chilly…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

The newspaper was a fun club to be a part of during the first semester. It really teaches us how a paper is run. Deadlines are a real thing, and the pressure really kicks in the night before the paper is printed. Some students stay in the Griffin office until 2am sometimes! I loved taking photos for the paper with the school’s camera, but…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I didn’t get how we could get so much snow at home living so close, and none at school. Many of us were waiting for our turn at school. Then finally, we got our share. A good foot or so was all we needed to have an intense snowball war. My good friend Tán sent out a quick Facebook post to meet in the quad at 8:30. Little did we know, a good thirty of us showed up…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I did fairly well on my final exams and I like how the system works. All my teachers were very professional in administering exams and giving us our grades within a week and such. I did not get anything under a B-, which is excellent news! I also got an A- in my favorite class, which happens to be my DMA concentration class. I’m happy…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

The Sing Off reminded me of the natural beauty of the human voice and its ability to artistically weave sounds and create a patchwork of music that is delightful to the ear. Oh how I appreciated each group’s talent in the show. What a gift each one had! The way they mimicked musical instruments, electronic sounds, and beat boxing was just…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Think of snow like this: It’s almost like a rude unwanted house guest. An unwanted house guest comes when it wants and leaves when it wants. Snow comes when it wants and leaves when it wants. An unwanted house guest forces you to make them feel comfortable. Snow is the same way. You have to move it here….move it there… PLEASE CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Finals Week is here and I have four exams! Some people only have one or two, but I can handle four. The tough part is that I’ll be here all week, until the last day. We have to move back home December 17th, and I have an exam that day. People will have packed up and left by then. I feel like I’ll be the only one here! Canisius turns into a…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I organized a snowball fight in the quad via Facebook and text messaging but I didn’t think that many people were going to show because many people had to study for the upcoming finals. I understood that but me and my roommate went to the library after the snowball fight. Well, me and a good 50-60 Freshman showed up and we had a snowball war in the quad. It was an all out, fend-for-yourself battle…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…
