Canisius just announced they have chosen Sarah Bareilles for the spring concert. The choices were Girl Talk, Jack’s Mannequin, deadmau5, and Jason Derulo. I guess none of them were available because Derulo backed out late. I have mixed emotions with the choice. She is certainly a good singer…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I was overly excited for a great offer that I even relieved myself or backed away from some present tasks. I shouldn’t have, because earlier today I received news that that window of opportunity has been officially sealed shut. Disappointing, yes. Shocking, no…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

It was nice to see the green grass for a short while. Also to see life in everyone’s eyes. People walking outside and playing football in the quad makes me anticipate Spring so much. All the stores are already putting out Spring clothes, getting us prepared early. Hopefully the groundhog was right…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

When I found out Lady Gaga was coming to Buffalo, I instantly bought my ticket. I bought a general admission floor ticket before they went on sale from Stubhub. For some reason I feel like Lady Gaga is going to be the next Madonna, so I acted fast. This could be a once in a lifetime thing. If you haven’t…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

He had an old soul, and was extremely smart. I remember his vocabulary being extraordinarily extensive, and he always had his nose in a book. Teachers wouldn’t even say anything to him if he was reading other literature during class, because they knew he would still ace the upcoming tests. I once remember Eric spontaneously bursting out laughing for no reason…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I like playing music and having colorful decor; my former roommate was silent, his decor limited to taped up legal pad sheets with science formulas. With that old method, the likelihood of being compatible is slim. Canisius’ new, innovative method, though, is a vast improvement. Rather than filling out a form and leaving the decision up to residence life, the we ourselves create “teams” for rooms… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

That’s right, Whole Foods Heaven right here in Austin. It’s the company headquarters so it’s not a surprise. But what came as a shock was the hundreds of people who came in and out, the huge high-quality selection, and plain deliciousness of everything in the store. There were different kinds of sugar, which I didn’t know existed, an astonishing selection of…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Despite getting back into the swing of things I still find ways to enjoy myself. For example, our floor had a community builder on Thursday wherein we went skating at Rotary Rink. I’ve only skated a few times (four counting this outing) in my life but I really enjoy it and I think I improved greatly on Thursday night, though I still can’t really stop and turning is sometimes a bit scary. Also, my girlfriend and I went to see Shrek the Musical…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

You would think making a bear is an easy task for a college student, but it takes a lot of decision making! It was funny to see everyone changing their mind as to what animal they wanted and what to name it. While I waited in line I must have changed my mind about what one I wanted five times. This is one of the most popular events from The Griffin After Dark. I was told to get there early and many people must have got the memo…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

The whole process started at the end of January with a kind of group interview during which we were loosely evaluated based on how we interacted with each other and how we answered questions. Based on this we were selected for a personal interview and were given a “passport” that we had to fill with pictures of things we enjoy or that have meaning in our life. To give an example of this, in mine I had the name of my favorite band, pictures from when I went to Africa, someone skiing…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…
