I’m going to Rochester in July to see Skrillex, a highly renowned dubstep artist! My friend Mark that goes to Canisius as well is going too and so is my next year’s roommate! It is going to be a great time. Also, my brother is taking me to New York City to see Flux Pavillion and Doctor P, some other dubstep artists coming to North America for the…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Today I was able to see one of my good friends that I haven’t seen in a long time. It was really nice to be able to catch up with her and just chat about life. It’s made me realize that I haven’t really talked to a person in a long while. And I don’t mean talk as in, ya know, talk, but in the way where you really get to speak your mind and heart…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

In english class we read a book called The Laramie Project. It was about societal issues such as hate crimes, homophobia, discrimination, etc. Our final project was to write our own play of 5 pages about a social issue that needs to be addressed. The ‘Survivors’ started off the walk and it felt intense. People were crying but it was so nice to see people comfortable with sharing their story. Going back home, however, won’t be entirely sweet. Two things I’m going to really miss besides all of my friends are the Canisius College Crew Team and the Ultimate Frisbee team my friends and I started. I didn’t really get involved with the crew team until this year but I’ve become fast friends with everyone on the team over these past few months…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I am noticing a lot of excellent changes being made to the quality of the campus. Rumors of a Subway Restaurant and a pasta place have come true! Subway will be on campus next year in Old Main. Also, Upper Deck is …CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Canisius is simply unique. For one thing, it is run and staffed by the Jesuits, a Roman Catholic religious order known for their commitment to social justice and education. Even if you’re not Catholic, studying in a Jesuit environment is vastly rewarding. Jesuit education is not indoctrination; it is nurturing and encouraging students to question preconceptions, find their own… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

After taking a few pictures around the room, I headed towards the food and started conversations with people. They were interested in what I do for Catholic Charities and also where I studied. This gave me much comfort because I know I can talk about these things but more importantly, I am also proud to be a griffin so it was easy. Interestingly enough, the people…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

This is the season of many last. Tis the season to be happy and shed tears of joy OR SO THEY SAY. It is the last time I will walk these halls of Canisius as a Student.
