60 Second Talks
By Kaitlynn | November 18, 2009
Last night I attended the sixty second talks. They were very interesting. My professor for philosophy was in it, so I was very excited to hear her answers! When I got there I saw that there were cameras and then a man asked me to move up so that it looked like a lot of people were there haha! I thought that there were quite a few people there. There were many political questions covered. Some of the questions were about saving energy, healthcare, the war, Iran, and the press. Then the audience got to write down questions they wanted answered. The moderator chose the questions out of a bowl and the professors had to answer. Of course they were only given sixty seconds to talk and there was a stop watch projected on the screen. The professors did a great job with answering the questions. It was nice to see that our professors have their own opinions and that they are all different from each other. Also, there were some questions about the college for the near future and what would they change if they became president of Canisius College. I know my professor was a little nervous because she has only been at Canisius for four years and all the other professors have been here for a while! She did great though. I am so glad I went it was very interesting and enlightening.
