Bye Bye Bye
By Sean | November 30, 2008
It might sound crazy, but it ain’t no lie…
…
No, I can’t believe I just quoted Nsync either.
Today’s blog post (brought to you by the makers of Kleenex!) is another sad one. I mentioned my still-nameless friend previously. Now it’s time to wish Still Nameless a fond farewell. Say it with me: “Bye, whoever you are!”
Still Nameless has decided it is in her best interests to transfer to UB. When I asked her why, she pointed out that she didn’t really fit in here. And neither did I, for that matter. Her quote: “Yes, we’re birds of a feather, but the problem is that is literally it- one feather.” And she’s right, Canisius isn’t the place for people like her and me.
Before you protest, in that squeaky falsetto that means I am humorously imitating a crude rendition of your voice, “Mr. Charming, don’t LEAVE us!”, I’m not going anywhere.
I grew up in a small town, with conservative parents, and I still managed to flip everything all topsy-turvy. Canisius may not be a place for those who go against the grain yet, but it will be. If I have my way, campus will never be the same again.
Take off your iPod, hang up your cell phone, look around. Something interesting is happening, I guarantee it. And if something interesting isn’t happening, why aren’t you making it happen?
Until next time.
– Mr. Charming

Hey Sean – I was just looking through some blogs and just happened to read yours.
Do you really feel like Canisius is not a place for those who go against the grain?
In my opinion it is just the opposite. I truly feel that you can find just about every type of person here.
I guess we all have our opinions but I am just wondering why you feel that way. I feel like there are so many different clubs and groups that there is a place for every type of person to fit in. If anything else we are told to go against the grain and fight for what we believe in here.
I am not trying to say you are wrong but I hope your feelings about this change as your first year continues
