Treasure Each Moment

By now I am sure you have all heard of the tragedy that struck WNY last Thursday, February 12th. The plane crash broke all of our hearts and definitely made everyone take a step back and realize that we are all lucky to be here today. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I turned on the news channel and saw that a plane had crashed in Clarence…just miles away from here. I have spent the last few days feeling a bit down from it all because I have been thinking of all the people who lost someone on that plane or on the ground. It is devastating and I have them all in my thoughts.
However, life does go on no matter what happens and I took advantage of this long weekend to visit my Brother, sister-in-law and 3 month old nephew in Ithaca. I feel lucky that I was able to see them and enjoy some time with my family. The last time I saw my nephew was Christmas and it is incredible how different he is now! He smiles and laughs and is so much more animated. I absolutely loved being able to spend time with him and my brother and sister-in-law.
Overall this long weekend was definitely needed although I am kicking myself for procrastinating. I have a take-home exam to do tonight, a 3 page reflection paper and I have to do corrections on a pop quiz. Let’s just say it is going to be a longgggg night. But at least tomorrow is Wednesday and not Monday!!!
Once again my heart goes out to all the victims of FLIGHT 3407 and their families and friends. Everyone is thinking of you and here for you<3.
